DaI have encountered this problem, but when using "squid -k reconfigure". Squid was unable to initialize all the dnsserver children specified in the conf file. It only runs half of them. I use "squid -sY" in running squid, if that helps.
The only solution that I do, is that I shutdown squid, and starts it again form the beginning...

I thought It was a permission problem, but I tried tu boot up Squid with users squid, and this user have execution permission un dnsserver program.
I need help !!!!!!!!
