squid and ftp

Hello everbody,

i´m new on squid. So please forgive me if you read my simple question.
I´ve
a questions how i can use Squid with ftp:

I´m using Squid 2.0.PATCH2 on a SuSE6.1 linux system. My Problem is HOW
CAN i tell squid to make FTP requests run. Currently i´m not able to run
ftp over squid but i can use native ftp just running over my router. I
know that squid ist just a http <-> ftp gateway and not a ftp proxy.

Hope somebody can help me ...
