Squid and java

Hello,

We are running a basic firewall with squid and socks in our office and have
a problem with java applets in web pages. It takes a very long time before
the java applet is downloaded - the browser just sits there for 3 or 4
minutes doing nothing before the file is finally downloaded. Is this a
problem with squid - perhaps a configuration problem??
