error compiling 2.2.STABLE3 under sunos4.1.4

Greetings,

After numerous:

/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-sunos4.1.4/2.7.2/include/va-sparc.h:55:

... I get the following error and the compile aborts:

SunOS4.1.4, gcc 2.7.2, 2.2.STABLE3 with patches (from
http://squid.nlanr.net/Squid/v2/2.2/bugs.html)

I've seached the mailing lists archive and looked at
the FAQ, but didn't find anything. Any suggestions
appreciated :)
