I hope that you're expecting the patch to come from Microsoft... It _is_
annoying that they promote non-standard operations. I will be disappointed
if Squid falls into the trap of being too scared to do anything other than
capitulate to Microsoft (or Netscape, or Redhat, or anyone else)
_especially_ when the issue is non-standard implementations. And to call
it a compatibility unfortunately implies (unfairly, but still definitely)
that the free, open source small time program Squid has errors that cause
it to mess up Outlook Express - and this is simply not true.
