Hi there again, I've notice that some of my squid servers are not serving
out cache digest information to it's peers. I'm pretty sure the digest is
available because I'm able to look at the stats from the cache manager.
However, the cache.log shows that the siblings are unable to get the digest.
The message is as follows :-
1999/05/24 05:31:55| temporary disabling (Not Found) digest from
palo7.pacific.net.sg
1999/05/24 05:31:59| internalStart: unknown request:
GET /squid-internal-periodic/store_digest HTTP/1.0
Accept: application/cache-digest
Accept: text/html
Via: 0.0 p7:8080 (Squid/2.2.STABLE2)
X-Forwarded-For: unknown
Host: palo1.pacific.net.sg:8080
Cache-Control: max-age=0
Connection: keep-alive
I get a couple of these messages whenever squid starts up and these siblings
end up serving requests in 'standalone' mode. There are not an instance of
CACHE_DIGEST_HIT anywhere in the access.log.
Am I missing anything subtle? There is another group of siblings with
identical configurations (AFAIK in the squid.conf) which is working
beautifully.
