Just wondering if anyone knew of a WWW front end to Squid
configuration - something like the CacheFlow admin system, for anyone
who's familiar with that.
Before people mutter about dumbing down Squid setup, the security
issues introduced by having a WWW interface, etc etc... :-)
I don't personally need such a beastie (honest!), but I think it would
be a useful add-on to Squid for people who aren't traditional Unix
sysadmin types. In particular, it could be very handy for people who
were building Squid based cache servers to sell as 'appliances'...
It would probably be unreasonable to expect to be able to do
everything that can be done by hand editing squid.conf, but I'm
thinking that the majority of common config options could be tweaked
quite easily from a WWW interface.
It would kind of neat if this could be bundled with a package which
ran most of the Squid logfile analysers for you overnight, so that you
had a stats view available as well as the Nerd Knobs.
So, anyone done something like this ? :-)
Sayonara!
Martin
