Since upgrading our caches to squid 2.0.PATCH2 I have had reports of a
particular URL on Cisco.com.'s website failing to load at all. upgrading
to the latest patchlevel of squid did not help. The only thing that looks
strange is that the URL generated by the javascript in the html file has a
single ? in the string, indicating a query (the URL is built in javascript
code) follows, but there is never any path_info after the ? delimiter.
Here is the access.log entry:
912801438.479 304461 209.3.44.90 TCP_MISS/200 404 POST
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/front.x/tic/to_trto.pl? -
DIRECT/www.cisco.com text/html
Squid sometimes logs the request, sometimes it does not, but always no
page is returned. My point, or question, really, is that you should never
have a query string as part of a POST URI/URL, right ? Nothing in the HTTP
specs seems to be exactly on point.
Comments / Suggestions anyone ?
TIA
