Hi;
After looking thru the archives and the faq, I am a bit confused
as to why my squid2.0PATCH2 is using as much memory as it is:
>From 'top':
494 squid 5 0 66048 64M 1608 S 63M 1.9 34.9 8:44 squid
>From /usr/local/squid/etc/squid.conf
cache_mem 8 MB
cache_swap_low 90
cache_swap_high 95
cache_mem_low 75
cache_mem_high 90
Now while I realize fully that the 8mb number above is not
indicative of what the total usage for the squid process will be, the
~60mb of RAM being used is a bit of a mystery.
I adminsiter this machine, and up until about two days ago, it
ran at about 28mb usage consistently for about 3 months (since it was
setup). I checked the datestamp on the squid.conf file, and it had not
changed, so I have no explanation for the usage going from ~30mb to
~60mb in two days (with no corresponding changes to the squid.conf
file).
Any input you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Chris
