Speaking of which - does anyone know of a reasonably accurate mechanism for
measuring channel/bus utilisation? This could be F/W SCSI on a SPARC running
Solaris, or EIDE on a Pentium running Linux.
The reasoning is fairly obvious - try and determine whether or not a given
channel/bus has reached its choke point and any additional devices should be
added to a separate channel/bus, or if there's still room for an extra disk on
the channel/bus.
Thanks..
