With squid 1.2 and 2.00 if you want to HUP squid you have to do it from the
command line.
change to your /usr/local/squid/bin/ directory and type in:
squid -k
and you'll see the all the options to choose from.
to HUP it, you go:
squid -k reconfigure
Its the same with rotating the logs if you rotate them automatically.
its now:
squid -k rotate
