Details regarding httpReadReply in src/http.c (Squid 1.1.22)

Hi,

I'm trying to do some tweaking of the squid source so that the HTML
document can be selectively modified (by a script / function) after it
has been fetched from the web server, on a per-user / per-connection
basis.

The source code is not easy to understand, and the docs from the squid
web site aren't too comprehensive, but it looks like something can be
done in the function httpReadReply() in src/http.c

Could anyone help with this? Any better suggestions / ideas?
