proxy_auth and htpasswd

i have compiled squid with the option -DUSE_PROXY_AUTH=1
to use a passwordfile
then i created the passwordfile with htpasswd
at last i write down the line proxy_auth /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
in the squid.conf file
and now squid starts with the error message
parseConfigFile: line 1017 unrecognized :
'proxy_auth/usr/local/squid/etc/passwd'
