Re: file desciptor on linux > 2.0.33

It's because the patch (if you look through it, it's not that large)
does more than just this. It rewrites the way file-descriptors are
handled, otherwise you burn INSANE amounts of memory, doing it the way
that is marked below.

That's why it's been at 256 for so long...because just increasing the
numbers here causes gobs of memory to be consumed. In order to avoid
that, several key handlers are also modified.
