Yes and no.

Squid recognises:

http://
ftp://
gopher://
wais://
cache_object://

These are the protocols currently implemented in Squid (or by
helpers/relays). cache_object is a internal psuedo-protocol for
cachemgr.

What is view-source://? I have never heard of a protocol called
view-source...
