dear squid-users,
i am encountering the following problem:
accessing an existing URL like the following works well
ftp://ftp.dom.de/ and results in a status line like this
(appearing in the client):
<snip>
-------------------------
Generated Mon, 09 Feb 1998 12:02:06 GMT, by ftpget/1.NOVM.20@colossus.dom.de
but if i access an errorneous URL like ftp://ftp.dom.de/xxx
i get a wrong line like this:
<snip>
-------------------------
Generated Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 GMT, by squid-ftpget/1.NOVM.20@colossus.dom.de
this error seems odd. i did not look into the source, yet. i tried
to find any clues in the mailing list archives but i may be blind.
did anyone encounter the same problem?
unluckily i have a script that relies somehow on the date supplied by ftpget.
btw. is it ftpget which generates this message?
some os specific data:
Linux colossus.dom.de 2.1.84 #2 Mon Feb 2 13:58:13 CET 1998 i586 unknown
squid-1.NOVM.20 was built with egcs-2.90.23 980102 (egcs-1.0.1 release)
against linux libc-5.4.43.
any clues?
best regards.
