FreeBSD and Squid

dear fellows :

I have installed FreeBSD and Squid together on a branded machine (COMPAQ)
Proliant 800 .
Situation is that it started to work fine and then hanged.Now this
practise has been done twice.We are in mission critical operations we
can't afford this .Please help me.
