Hi,
I am having problems setting up ssl. I have the following Situation:
proxyoff <-> proxyerl <-> OurProvider
proxyoff uses proxyerl as single parent and proxyerl connects the
Proxy of our Provider.
proxyoff = proxy.kwu.off.siemens.de
proxyerl = proxy.kwu.erl.siemens.de
OurProvider = proxy.fth.sbs.de
First I set up proxyerl. Everything works fine, including ssl.
I have the following ssl settings in proxyerl:
ssl_proxy proxy.fth.sbs.de:80
I set up proxyoff, by copying the configuration of proxyerl and modifying
squid.conf:
ssl_proxy proxy.kwu.erl.siemens.de:8081
When I set up my Browser to use proxyoff, everything works fine (http, ftp),
but ssl. When I try to connect to www.lufthansa.com:443 for example
I get in my browser:
A network error occured while Netscape was receiving data.
(Network Error: I/O error)
Try connecting later.
ProxylogA says:
881661095.584 301250 144.50.55.62 TCP_MISS/000 73 CONNECT www.lufthansa.com:443 - SSL_PARENT_MISS/proxy.kwu.erl.siemens.de -
ProxlogB says:
881661091.807 301111 145.100.3.100 TCP_MISS/000 73 CONNECT www.lufthansa.com:443 - SSL_PARENT_MISS/proxy.fth.sbs.de -
When I try to connect the mentioned site directly from my proxyerl, everything
works fine and I get a logfileentry in proxyerl:
881671214.309 18873 144.50.55.62 TCP_MISS/000 1255 CONNECT www.lufthansa.com:443 - SSL_PARENT_MISS/proxy.fth.sbs.de -
Seems, that when I try to connect over proxyoff, I run into a 300 second
timeout. Is there anything more I should have a look at, while configuring
proxyoff or proxyerl ?
Thanx in advance,
Rainer
