How to delete lost objects?

Hello everybody,

tomorrow our cache crashed when writing cache/log after SIGUSR1,
and about a half of all objects were lost. Now squid reports that
the swap size is 4G, but 10G are used on the cache swap partition.
That makes me think squid did not delete the lost objects.
Can I delete them manually without removing the swap completely?
