Long and complex. The easy way to do it, is start off with 8 top level
directories, and (say) 4 gig. You run out of space, buy another 4gig
drive. Move top level directories 1-4 to the new drive. Double the
hard drive space in squid.conf. Running low on space again? Buy 2 more
4 gig drives. (You are running SCSI now, aren't you?). Move 1,2 to one
4 gig and 7,8 to the other 4 gig.. 16 gig now. OK, you've filled
16 gig? Get the chequebook out, because you're buying 4 4 gig drives
today. Glad you bought that 2940uw ultrawide scsi controller, aren't you?
1,3,5 and 7 go to the new drives. You've now got 32gig of proxy.
You would have run out of RAM slots in your PC by now, go buy an
Enterprise 2000 8) I never said running an ISP was cheap, did I?
