Netscape freezes a while during DNS lookups

Hi,

I'm running Squid 1.1.14+retry-patch on Linux 2.0.30, Squid's dnsserver
and a local named.
When from Netscape Communicator 4.03 (using Squid) I'm clicking new
unresolved hypertext links on the Web, I notice that
Netscape is dropping it's foreground text en freezing with only
background colors displayed during the DNS lookup. It is then not
possible to switch to another open session of the Communicator. If then
Squid's dnsserver resolved the name I can switch
to another open session of Communicator.
With MS Internet Explorer this does not happen and I can switch between
multiple open session also when in one of them
a DNS lookup is done.

If anyone can make some suggestions I'd appreciate it.
