Yes - I have about 20 similar ones, all attempting to bind to port 0

The ones I have are these (smallish EG):
cache.log.0:97/07/14 08:58:33| commBind: Cannot bind socket FD 195 to 127.0.0.1:0: (98) Address already in use
cache.log.0:97/07/14 18:29:11| commBind: Cannot bind socket FD 165 to 127.0.0.1:0: (98) Address already in use

There are a couple more too... they all want to bind to port 0 on the
127.0.0.1 port. I don't have 127.0.0.* anywhere in the squid.conf other than
acls....

Pretty straight forward - squid NOVM 10 with patch, 2.0.30 with
SYN flooding. I can send you configs or something if you want. the few
errors I do have don't make any difference to performance

Interesting - this should be 3000... not 4096, methinks.

Interesting that it's binding to 2 icp sockets... have you patched this?

Interesting that the time difference is not like mine, mine are hours apart.

As far as I can see there should be no reason why squid is trying to bind
to port 0.... possible bug, Duane?
