the size of squid ?

Hi,
I saw the following sentence in squid FAQ.

The "Total Accounted" field in the meta data isn't the same as the size
of my squid !

The size of squid means the cache_swap or the cache_mem ?

I set the cache_mem to 200 in squid.conf and I sent SIGHUP to squid
and watch the "Total Accounted Memory ".
But That became larger than 200MB, almost 300MB.
Moreover, Total Space in Arena became larger than 300MB, almost 400MB.
Is it strange or normal ?
