I sent the following message yesterday but it looks like lost somewhere.
The problem is getting worse now. After the message repeats many time,
the following messages appear in the cache log and Squid died!
97/02/21 23:04:22| HELP!! IP Cache is overflowing!
97/02/21 23:04:23| HELP!! IP Cache is overflowing!
97/02/21 23:04:27| HELP!! IP Cache is overflowing!
...
Please kindly help. The only thing that I can do now is to re-boot the
computer every 4 hours!
Also the following messages appear only after the Squid is put to live.
Feb 22 19:17:58 daisy /kernel: in_rtqtimo: adjusted rtq_reallyold to 2400
Feb 22 19:27:58 daisy /kernel: in_rtqtimo: adjusted rtq_reallyold to 1600
Feb 22 19:37:58 daisy /kernel: in_rtqtimo: adjusted rtq_reallyold to 1066
Feb 22 19:47:58 daisy /kernel: in_rtqtimo: adjusted rtq_reallyold to 710
Can any one explain what they mean and do I need to do anything?
Our Squid server is a 6x86 P-166+, 64MB running FreeBSD 2.1.6 and Squid
1.1.6.
Your help is appreciated.
Regards
Clement
