True, but if the file hasn't been changed in any way while in transit,
you can always apply the necessary conversion on the local user's
machine. But sending a binary file as "text/plain" will often cause it
to arrive hosed beyond all hope of repair. (Especially frustrating if
you notice the hosedness only _after_ transferring a double-digit
megabyte batch of stuff.)
