Re: Some pages...

Isn't this a problem with Novell's server?. I sniffed the transactions
on the network (avoid as much guesswork as possible and go right to the
hard evidence), and here's what I observe.

Between browser (>) & Squid 1.0.9 (>):

Looks bad. Between Squid (>) and Novell (<), I see the same thing, The
bad URL is coming from Novell's server itself, not being added by
Squid:

The Forwarded: line is the only thing of substance that Squid adds to
the request. That shouldn't cause the trouble, should it?? It's the only
thing added by Squid besides the "via proxy" tagged on the end of th User-Agent: line.
Do all versions of Squid add the Forwarded: line?

It works, however, when I go Direct:

(Sorry, I can only capture 1 side of the direct conversation since it's
from the same machine making the request and Sun's 'nit' interface
won't capture its own outgoing packets.)

I seem to recall having trouble similar to this when setting up an
imagemap quite some time ago, but I don't recall the details. If not
all are seeing this problem through proxies, maybe Novell has more than
one server answering to www.novell.com, and not all are misbehaving?

Here, I have the problem.  Netscape 3.0, Squid 1.0.12.
