nuisance. ^_^
If there's no Last-modified: header _and_ no Expires: header as well
all you can do is calculate something rational with the ttl patterns.
And this is again something you want to do locally...

That would be useful addition, esp. if makes things more compatible
among the various proxies. It's however just part of the solution.
