Squid on OSF 3.2

Hi.

I tried to install squid on a Dec Alpha running OSF 3.2, but the programm
terminated shortly after i started it. GDB says:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x1200205d8 in icpStateFree (fd=15, icpState=0x14030a600) at icp.c:231
icp.c:231: No such file or directory.
(gdb) step
Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted.
0x3ff8088cf28 in __kill ()
(gdb) step
Single stepping until exit from function __kill,
which has no line number information.
/proc/09311: Bad file number.
PIOCWSTOP failed

Any ideas how to solve this problem?
