Hi Eliezer,
I am just working on squid 3.1.16 as of now. I had integrated a patch from squid devel projects site HTML patch for achieving 'prefetching of urls' or 'proactive fetching of urls'.
I already had a tough time integrating the patch which was based on a very old version to 3.1.16 when I started out last year that I don't want to upgrade once again now. I will probably do it once my code stabilizes and I have time :)
I am working on developing a prefetch feature (integration of the patch + additional features) for my company.
One of the add on feature will be fetch those prefetched objects from the cache and send it back to the child squid that it is connected to.
