I have a openindiana installed on a virtual machine for testing but
unfortunately is not well configured for development ...

The problem exist. Also I was not able to build squid3 on openindiana
with kerberos support enabled, because of a warning about "#pragma
ident" line in file kerberosv5/com_err.h
So to compile squid I needed the run the following configure command:
./configure --disable-internal-dns --without-krb5-config

To compile dnsserver binary you need to include the libraries:
"-lresolv -lsocket -lnsl"
