The 2.5.STABLE8-RC2 (Release Candidate 2) is now available fixing the HTTP
header memory corruption bug found in RC1. Please give this release
candidate some testing to make sure there is no stupid bugs left.
Be warned that 2.5.STABLE8 due to security reasons is considerably
stricter about the HTTP protocol than earlier releases and some servers
sending malformed responses will now be rejected by Squid where earlier
versions did not notice. This also gives some additional noise in
cache.log about found HTTP anomalities. This noise is intentional to aid
you in figuring our which site operators should be alerted that their
servers is malfunctioning.
The actual 2.5.STABLE8 release is planned for Monday 31/1.
