Hello Developers,
We are benchmarking squid-3.0 with / without epoll() I/O method.
With the polygraph tool, poly server is running with 750 alias and polyclt with 450 alias ( 450 req / sec ). Squid-3.0 without
epoll is running with 8192 FD's. Polyclt is getting problem as
006.76| Connection.cc:485: error: 32/32 (s110) Connection timed out
006.76| error: raw write after connect failed
006.76| connection to <squidIP>:3128 failed after 0 reads, 0 writes, 1 xacts
Normally squid server, polyserver is getting TIME_WAIT status. I have tuned "tcp_tw_recycle, tcp_rfc1337" to 1 to recycle
TIME_WAIT status on 2.6 linux kernel.
Questions:
********
1. Can you suggest needable parameters to be tunned.? (http://www.psc.edu/networking/projects/tcptune/#Linux - I tunned all
of this )
2. More errors in polyclt as,
009.83| Xaction.cc:74: error: 64/269 (c19) unsupported HTTP status code

3. I am getting 110 rep / sec for the configuration of 350 req / sec on polygraph configuration, so that squid is satisfying
350 req / sec. Is it correct?
4. how to know squid requests satisfaction saturation point?
5. Is it good to use polymix3 instead of polymix4? which bench is good for squid benchmarking?

Muthu
