squid development

I Shantanu Sharma ,am a Under Graduate student at Indian Institute Of
Information Tech. , Allahabad, India
I am doing a project and intend to write a plugin for SQUID 2.5 so that
bandwidth management and allocation cold be done on the basis of content the
client wishes to see and not as per the current manner in which delay class
is assigned on the basis on the client add.
the project consists of two major parts
1) catching the user req
2) and mapping (class of the content the user wishes to see) to the bandwidth
   allocated to it
this could be of great use for administrators where content based allocation
would be given preference , for eg in a educational institute academic sites
and related content could be given a preference to entertainment .
