IMHO it is.. I do not want the massive change of makefiles a upgrade of
automake and autoconf involves during a STABLE cycle unless absolutely
needed, and from what I can tell there is no need to switch for
Squid-2.5.
And no: Squid-2.5 does not neccesarily build fine with a newer automake.
automake-1.6.3 requires a newer autoconf while Squid-2.5 still uses
autoconf 2.13. Switching to autoconf 2.50 requires some changes to
configure.in for autoconf to be happy from what I recall.
