Introducing me

Hello Squid developers,

My name is Gerard Eviston. I am a system administrator based in Brisbane,
Australia. A significant part of my day-to-day work involves caring for squid
proxies and I'm a keen supporter of OSS. In the spirit of open source I feel
enthusiatic (morally compelled :-) to contribute back to a project whose work
I greatly appreciate, both a user and an administrator.

I'm not a programming guru. I've had more segmentation faults than hot
dinners. But so long as I've got a keyboard in my lap and a brain in my head
I'll try. Having said that, I'm prepared to invest time in doing things the
right way, and I hope that I can occasionally ask for your help in doing so.

At the moment my main area of interest is the external_logger project. In the
next few weeks/months I hope to work with Robert to put together a logd for
mysql, oracle and postgres. Over time I'd also like to contribute to Squid's
documentation, as I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear.

If you need to contact me then I'll usually respond to emails within 24hrs but
I'll also hang around in #squiddev on irc.openprojects.net whenever I can.
