May I propose a slight variant:

Change the Squid-2 based projects to read

Based on: Squid-2

And leave the Squid-3 based projects as HEAD.

We need to disassociate the Squid-2 tree from the term HEAD. Squid's
HEAD version is the HEAD branch of squid3.
