Windows port merge - PATCH

Hi,

These are the first patches related to merging Windows port on HEAD.

- Hostsfiles.patch add the --enable-default-hostsfile configure option,
needed to handle the different hosts file location on Windows and Cygwin.

- WIN32miscdefines.patch fix the problems on Windows related to open file
renaming and text/binary file issues.
