About latest helper.c fixes

Hi Henrik,

A little question about latest helper.c fixes:

>Avoid a silly reuse after free.. the helper structure gets automatically
>freed when the filedescriptor is closed (close callback)

What are the results of this bug, can it generate errors like the following ?
