Oh, I'm not pushing for it in 2.5 (I suppose Florin was). It would be a
nice thing to have for one of the projects I've been working on,
database access to the object index, specifically. But I've been using
a log tail daemon with reasonable success at moderate loads, so far, and
I can keep that up until the external logging stuff is ready for inclusion.

I like ESI better, so I certainly don't want to draw your attention from
it. But we can chat more about the logging thing when you've got time
to think on it.
