Thanks Henrik! :) I added the set_odd_parity thing to
my toy program and it still outputs the same thing.
So I think that you are right that my DES function
doesn't use the parity bits. My toy program is in Perl
and I am using the Crypt::DES_PP and Digest::Perl::MD4
modules.
