squid using another hosts file than /etc/hosts

Hi,

I am working on Squid to make it verify another hosts table than /etc/hosts, some kind of configuration for squid where it check for internal hosts ( but hosts different than DNS and /etc/hosts). this is important because the /etc/hosts file is very big... and it slows down the performance of the proxy.

I'll appreciate that you could help me with this.
