Defenitelu a bug (signal 6 is segmentation violation).
A stacktrace would help a lot.
Easiest way to get a stack trace is to start Squid with a debugger.
1. Stop squid
2. Start Squid using a debugger
gdb squid
run -NC
[wait for it to crash]
