AHA! It seems you committed to the HEAD branch rather than etc_hosts .
Henrik then synched up squid-HEAD with cvs.squid-cache.org, overwriting
your changes (I was wondering why the last sync was so big..)
Eg, this is src/main.c:
----------------------------
revision 1.10
date: 2000/12/29 19:50:28; author: hno; state: Exp; lines: +1 -54
Syncronized with cvs.squid-cache.org
----------------------------
revision 1.9
date: 2000/12/29 12:53:51; author: kinkie; state: Exp; lines: +54 -1
Added handling of /etc/hosts file (forward and reverse lookups).
----------------------------
revision 1.8
date: 2000/12/27 22:31:33; author: hno; state: Exp; lines: +1 -59
Syncronized with cvs.squid-cache.org
----------------------------
revision 1.7
date: 2000/12/27 16:21:01; author: kinkie; state: Exp; lines: +59 -1
Added code to read and parse /etc/hosts upon start and reconfigure.
This is especially useful when using the internal DNS code which blissfully
ignores /etc/hosts.
----------------------------
revision 1.6
date: 2000/12/12 23:21:19; author: adri; state: Exp; lines: +4 -12
branches: 1.6.4;
Sync with cvs.squid-cache.org
----------------------------
As you can see you committed to HEAD, and hno's sync backed them out.
What did you type to cvsmkbranch, and what directories did you end up with?
It should create a directory in .. with the new branch checked out.
