Consider downgrading your compiler version to the good old 2.7. I find
gcc 2.95 too bugy to be used for production purposes. I do not expect
GCC folks to install Squid to try to reproduce the bug, but with the
number of gcc 2.95 errors we are getting here on various applications, I
am sure GCC group is flooded with nice little bug reports. :-/
