I like these ideas (modularity). I think everyone agrees its time for
a total rewrite. A rewrite would be also be appropriate because our
NSF project will be ending soon. I'd like to be able to distribute
squid without having to worry about copyright issues.
I think before we write too much (any?) code we need a solid
design document, which I'm willing to begin writing.
