Problem with file system ext2

Hi
I am trying to install squid 2.3develop3 on linux redhat 6.0
thedefault for cache_dir file type is ufs while my file system is ext2
( linux default ),

Is there a patch available that I can install with squid 2.3develop3 to support
ext2 file sytem instead of ufs
