SSL is tunnelled thru proxies by the CONNECT method. There is
documentation on this somewhere on the Netscape site.
In short:
CONNECT server.example.com:443 HTTP/1.0
User-Agent: MyKeyboard/1.0
X-SillyHeader: any mime headers you like are fine
