And more is to come. I have a batch of patches not yet sent to you.

I will try to find time to move to 2.3.DEVEL2 shortly, and send you a
complete list of missing patches, as usual when moving to a new
release..

Does your FreeBSD box have kernel based pthreds? The ones I have looked
at only had userspace pthreads, which is of no use for async-io. I have
seen some references to a project porting Linux Threads to FreeBSD, but
I could find very little information on it (the project seemed to have
stalled),

What kind of network card did you use? I (and many else) have had a lot
of trouble with Intel Etherexpress cards on Linux, where the card dies
under heavy load.
